About Us

La Grange Farm & Ranch has been family owned and operated since 1958. After 62 years and two generations, the Koether family decided to sell the business. With several years of experience under their belts, Cole Dismukes and Preston Davis bought La Grange Farm & Ranch in 2020 with the hopes to take the operating feed mill and start creating their own line of high quality feeds.

​Cole and Preston both graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2006, where they studied business and agriculture. Completion of their degree led them to the opportunity of combining their passions for helping people and agriculture, by purchasing their first business; Round Top Farm & Ranch, Inc in 2007. Following the opening of their first store in 2007, the opportunity to open a second location came in 2011; Somerville Farm & Ranch, Inc. Cole and Preston were now serving two local farm and ranch communities. After having two stores for several years, the opportunity to sell Round Top Farm & Ranch, Inc. was presented to them. They decided to sell their first store and solely focus on unbeatable customer service and being the best they could be at Somerville Farm and Ranch, Inc.

After years of successful customer service, Cole and Preston knew they could excel in customer service and were interested in the process of creating their own feed line. In 2019 the opportunity came to purchase a feed store with an operating feed mill. In January 2020, they purchased La Grange Farm & Ranch, Inc. An abundance of opportunity was in their hands to create a feed with an outstanding quality. Cole and Preston have over-excelled at meeting each and every need of local farmers and ranchers with each store location.

​Since 2020, La Grange Farm & Ranch has seen and experienced growth and support within the community, as well as navigating the unexpected loss of Cole in 2023. Preston and the stores strive daily to honor Cole by carrying on Cole's values. Our goal is to always provide the best products and customer service to the community and our customers.
